I have over two years of biochemical research experience and I am the second author on a scientific journal article. I have been playing the cello for 13 years. During most of that time I received private lessons and played in various ensembles including the American Youth Philharmonic in the D.C. area. I worked for one year as a volunteer Japanese teacher to a class of 4th graders Fairfield Elementary in Rockbridge County, VA.
